I am a mother of five, now adult, children. As they grew up, they were healthy for the most part--we had our share of hospital admissions, trips to the specialist and hours of hand holding. We were all able to deal and overcome what was dealt us. What I began to notice was the amount of children who were dealing with unbeatable odds in the Children's Hospital in Boston, Ma and how many hours some of them spent there and what a toll it took on their family. I saw how much my own children had and what we would simply discard and realized I could make a difference in someone else's life. Not only do the children who are patients benefit from my gifts, but their families as well. I raise money and sell items that get donated to allow family and friends to drive and deliver these gifts to either the patients or their families.
